problem with premiere after capturing with Sony GV D1000

Hello,
I have purchased a GV D1000 for my classroom, due to our camera's with premiere just quit capturing after about 2-6 months. I bought the GV D1000 so that my students would 'for sure' be able to capture.

Here is our problem, once we capture off the GV D and then inport into Premiere (we have tried mpg and avi), the video is pixaled. It is not clear in Premiere, but shows it is clear capturing. Does anyone know how and where we can change the settings? I have read many people who use this GV D to capture by and for some reason, we just can't figure it out!
