wish i knew how to help you on that one. But just so i know you have tried flashing it but can not get all the way through the process? And i suppose you have already checked to make sure the PC's that you are using have a compatible SATA chipset to be able to flash?
And are you following any specific tutorial on flashing this drive?

not yet im having trouble reading it, i get into dos and it displays my drivers, via and xtreme, tried both, in sata port 0 and 1, also tried the hex edit but got confused as it had further steps etc, i did the msinfo32 but then the tut said if it doesn't work then do something else with the values but i got lost, when i first got the 'port:should be' error i remember it said port 10: should be 51, so i opened hex edit and found the part i changed to 10 and changed it to 51, but then i got port (something else) should be 51, that was on another chipset though so may not be compatible, this one has same problem i have now its via 8237r plus, not seen loads but people are saying that its compatible, thanks for the reply, hope i can get this to work lol,

Try my old tutorial here

http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/464269

It should work the same way for your VIA chipset. Also, make sure you don't have any more SATA controllers installed in the PC as this wreaks havoc on the "detect I/O" function.

you should make a boot disk with extreme boot maker. if you can't get the i/o numbers through 3.0 or 3.1 can't remeber then get the numbers from xbm rc2, then input the numbers into your 3.0/1 and the create boot disk. if you need more help just pm, i have done tons of sammy's.
