dont flash iextreme 1.2 with ms25!!!!

hey just a heads up I had a perfectly working ms25 drive with extreme 5.2. I posted on afterdawn if it was OK to flash it with the ixtreme 1.2C, for being naive and not trusting my instinct. I listened to a member even though it kept giving me an error message when I created the bin file. I flashed it now that drive cant read the game part and I cant reflash it back to my original firmware as if its locked not even with my on board sata or via sata card. So dont do it!!!

You have to use the bad-flash method (10 sec method) to re-flash. Use a VIA 6421 PCI SATA card and follow a MS28 Guide.

If iXtreme 1.2 didn't work with ms25 drives you would have seen a flood of threads about it ALONG time ago... right?

MS25 drive... you won't need the 10 second trick. Just put it in 0800 mode first.

I'm trying to picture off the top of my head what options you have when you flash the bin. One was to leave it reading as a ms25 and the other was to read as a ms28, right? Pick the ms28 option, even through it'll give you a warning.

lol bhe everytime someone says do that 10 second trick, your always just say use the 0800 Disc...seriously the 10 second trick is not that hard and you dont waste a CD :)
