I've never played any Halo games before and I am very used to Call of Duty, how you go in a room and people join and you start your game. How the hell does Halo 3 work? Do you have to beat it first? I played a couple levels and try that matchmaking thing and get nothing.
Somebody help!

there are about 2 other threads here about this subject. I would look at those because it is people trying to find other people to play Co-Op mode. Unlike most other games you can not just get on and join any game, you have to either start one and invite your friends list people, or recent played with people. Or join in a game of someone who is on those two lists and playing.

It was confusing as hell to me at first as well. You just have to go into matchmaking. Once in there a map of the globe is shown at the bottom left of the screen. Above that you can pick what kind of game you want to look for. Then just go to "start matchmaking" and it will look for a game for you. You can't pick what room you go to it just picks a game for you. You know it's working when your name is at the top right and below it it says "looking for player".
