I have a launch psp with 2.81fw thats just been sitting around for a while and just decided to get it out.

Havent checked the mod scene since like last february so I was wondering if one was made since then

Scratch that, I see that my best bet is the Pandora battery trick and Im in luck I have a friend with custom firmware psp i can downgrade to 1.5

Just wondering if you can pick up PSP batteries at like EBgames or something?

use the battery you have now as pandora's battery, and get a higher capacity for your normal use. newer batteries are said to be pandora proof.

Use your Battery you have and just save the EEPROM and then recover the battery to normal after the downgrade.

That way you don't have to buy anything.
