Some of these have been answered before, but I could use a few clarifications and whatnot. I'm not exactly tech savvy, so bear with me if I say something stupid. I tried looking things up first, but I still don't understand everything.

Okay, so I've got a 3.71 firmware "fat" PSP and I'm looking to downgrade it so I can try this homebrew thing. I'm aware that there doesn't exist a direct downgrade for it at the moment, but I've seen this Pandora's battery thing. I'm fairly sure I can't do homebrew things on my PSP , so I can't make one myself and none of my friends can either. So I think I can only get one off Ebay or whatever, am I right?

I've also heard of this Tool battery thing from Codejunkies. How is it different from Pandoras? Do I still need a memory stick? Is it better than Pandoras or what?

If I wanted to downgrade, and if both are about the same, which would be more feasible for me to buy/use? What would be a price range I should shoot for?

Concerning firmware updates after I downgrade. Which one should I go for, and what features does it have? I'm really not knowledgeable on this firmware and customized firmware stuff, so someone help me here? Looking it up just makes me confused with jargon I don't know.
