psp ver 3.60 can it play backups ?

i have been offered a psp slim/lite ver 3.60 ... i was told it can play backups but im not sure about that ... is`t possibel with this version or do i need to do some sort of fw upgrading or dowgrading ?

okay thanks ... its an orginally 3.60 ..
Huh i guess i have to look for a lot more information about it...

anyone have links on how to upgrade from orginal 3.60 to the 3.60M33 ??
