BioHazard 3 - Last Escape: Pops Clock Tower Crash Fix?

So I've been playing through RE3 and have altered the EBOOT the way you're suposed to to get it to work but I still get the clock tower crash and I have no idea how to fix it. You were suposed to rename the ID to SLPS02300 and the game title to "BioHazard 3 - Last Escape and have done this, as you can see here...

I had been playing it on M33 and got up to the end of the clock tower, but after finding it indeed crashes I attempted to go back to OE because someone suggested it works on that firmware. However after switching back it didn't work when I loaded my save.

Does anyone know the legitimate method, firmware and pops settings to get this to work? It's devestating playing a game through and finding you can't complete the game, highly frustrating...
