Whenever I run Dvd shrink it gets to about 50% encoding and then my computer restarts. Would this have anything to do with my drive? I've also been having problems with that. It will no longer read blank dvds or copies i've already made on this machine. Are these two problems somehow related or are they seperate issues? Thanks for the insight.

Check the CPU temp when it's encoding - just to be sure.
