I saw this youtube video of a guy playing PSP with his pc controller. He made 3 different videos of him using it.

On a comment of one of the videos, he says he forgot were he found the application that works this.

I have a 3.71 M33-2 PSP with IR shell 3.7 so I am ready to go.
wots this BUMP meen? anyway why do ya want to have a game pad hooked up to a handheld, think about it.........handhelds are a gamepad with a screen on it........ay......durrr. wots the point! so you gonna hold the game pad in one hand and the handheld in the other.....da haha hahahahahaha, m8 thats gonna look so funny, if it works... then fine. but seems like a waste of time to me.

wait just one carrot chewing minute, i remember a way, this IS SIMPLE-ISH!
He's definatly using irShell but i'm thinking he's also using a plugin prx called remotejoy.
you can use remotejoy to use your pc screen for psp and keyboard buttons for psp buttons via usb. so i reckon you could just set the pc gamepad to them buttons on the keyboard. and BINGO! it might work. of course it still displays on the psp.

yes, very true, i've seen remotejoy aswell so he could've been using that.

hmmmm.....i see, cool. i know the psp analog stick sucks, ur very rite about that, buts its not that bad, a little bit touchie-yes. u can get a replacement stick pack :-)
the slim has a betta one in it.
