I've got some large AVI and MPEG files that i want to spilt into smaller files.

I've tried using various AVI/MPEG splitters, but all seem to not work as a result of ffdshow. The programs just freeze and nothing happens.

What can i do to spilt a file without getting rid of ffdshow??

And programs compatible with ffdshow and wont freeze when the video preview is being uploaded??

Try AVIDemux.
I've used it on AVI and MPEG files.
