Disable fast scan and choose bruteforce if available.

Try this had similar problem to you with VM in NThell area

Managed to get all my channels back by playing around with box.
Sorted it by;

unplug and plugged back box at mains,
go into scan set up
changed cable provider from Cable UK Sym 6887 to Cable UK Sym 6952
(can only think VM are now using Tell*pest settings)
New Scan setup
Scan for Services------All Services
Bouquet----------------overwrite Exsisting
Cable Provider---------Cable UK Sym 6952
Fast Scan--------------Off
Manual Scan------------Off
Frequency
Symbol Rate
FEC--------------------3/4
polarization-----------H

When finished it says scan sucessfull. So then home button several time to exit, unplug box from mains and replug it in. Wait for it to reboot up and "HEY PRESTO" Happy Days again found 334 channels and 182 transponders.

So in your case try changing cable provider sym6952 to sym6887

Best of luck....Alan

Try all other options in the provider line. Remove all splitters and connect your box directly to your feed.

I understand your settings are:
scan for services = all services
boquet = leave existing
cable provider = sym6952
fast scan = on
manual scan = off
freq
sybol rate = 6952
FEC = 1/2
polorization = H

change to these settings;
Scan for Services------All Services
Bouquet----------------overwrite Exsisting
Cable Provider---------Cable UK Sym 6887
Fast Scan--------------Off
Manual Scan------------Off
Frequency
Symbol Rate
FEC--------------------3/4
polarization-----------H

don't forget to unplug from mains before alterations and afte re-scan.
Make sure you are in 1.73 ultra mode

Ok, the second one is a F-socket to coax adapter.
Unplug your box, use pliers and compress the slot for the plug pin at the box carfully a little bit.

The connector is the right one.
It looks like the little slot for the plug centre pin is too wide because the preowner didn't use the plug carefully enough.
