What are the risk of my wii breaking and what mod chip is the best

Most people get the Wiikey, but it's totally up to you! If your Wii breaks during the install, Nintendo won't take it back, because you voided the Warranty! You can probably just get the drive replaced, but that can take time, and $$$! There are also chances of the Wii Bricking, but I haven't seen any reports of Wii's Bricking when installing a Modchip!

blazen92, please don't post useless comments.

The best modchips out now are either the Wiinja Deluxe or Wiikey. If you Wii is D2C then the D2Ckey.

As long as you are careful then it should be fine. I made a video of how to install the Wiinja Deluxe if you are going to get one.
