I want to softmod my PS2 using this tutorial: http://ashholt.googlepages.com/ps2softmod
It says that you need a way to transfer something from a computer to a memory card. If I use a PS3 memory card adapter in the PS3 with the save file that I need to transfer on the memory stick, would I be able to use the PS3?

no. direct file transfer will not work. you can use the ps3, but you still need to use action replay max. the way the file is created is a compressed action replay save. it can only be read from action replay.
