Im new to linux i switched over last week. I was wondering what program to use to author a dvd since the programs that i used to use with windows wont work on linux. Someone told me to use avidemux but it didnt work for me. the guide said to "Open the movie, select Auto -> DVD, hit Save, and relax for a couple of hours while it converts the movie. Have a nap, talk on the phone, go out for a walk. Or stare at the progress bar for a while. That can be fun too." i tried that then i tried to burn the resulting file with k3b but dvd player didnt recognize it, not even my portable dvd player wich supports PAL, NTSC and plays DivX could play it...
