Swap magic w/ capture card help!

I have a USB capture cad, works fine. I use virtualdub. If I boot my game in PAL mode from swap magic, I get a signal in Virtualdub and can record. But PAL is slower for my game, it makes the game slow down. Tales of the abyss is the game I am playing. If I boot in NTSC/Normal, I get perfect game speed, but my cap card cant pick up the signal. I tried changing the settings to NTSC, but to no avail. I appreciate any help you can give me
