I bought a 360 a week ago, i keep it well ventilated and all. When I play old games like madden 07, saints row....i hear weird sounds on the xbox when the cd is inside. This is when my xbox 360 is in the vertical position...when it is in the horizontal position, the weird sounds of the cd drive go away. The games still work fine however, even with the rumbling noise.

When i play halo 3 on the other hand, the drive is quiet horizontal or vertical position.

Is there something wrong with my 360? or is it the games that are messed up.

Be more specific. It isnt abnormal for it to make some sounds. What kind of sounds do you hear grinding?, clicking sounds?

its like scratchy sounds and it only happens when i have my 360 on the vertical positions, the sounds go away when its in the horizontal.

when i play halo 3 tho plays quiet, it works whatever position my 360 in
