Hi,

I understand i have to downgrade up to 1.5, and then to 3.52.

Where can i obtain the firmware downgrades and then upgrades?

Is it possible to run games on 1.5 rather up to 3.52, why is the upgrade to 3.52 required.

If anyone can help a total noob please do :-)

To start, it's not just 3.52, you're thinking of 3.52 M33.

There are many different ways of downgrading to 1.50, and they vary on your present firmware, so we need to know what it is.

People recommend that you upgrade to 3.52 M33 as it's better than 1.50, can do more things, and doesn't require a boot loader program (eg: DevHook) for games.

Hi shokz - I am currently running v3.50.

right i get that, so i do the gradings and then i can play ISO from the memory stick? upgrading to 3.52M33 eliminates the need for devhook?

Is it possible to undo all changes or is that wishfull thinking?? lol

Well, if you go onto custom firmware, then yes, there is a "recovery" to get back to 1.50 again if you want to, from there you can install official firmware again.

From 3.50 there are two ways of downgrading:

1) Use the Lumines UMD to downgrade

2) Find/Buy/Make/Borrow a Pandora battery and downgrade that way.
