Ok I was installing YDL 5.0.1 I can get to the actual installing of the YDL (it says "Installing YDL this may take several minutes") but that pop up dont go away and I get an error, It says:

"The package gedit-2.14.3-1.ppc cannot be open. This is due to a missing file or perhaps a corrupt package. If you are installing from CD media this usuall means the CD media is corrupt or the CD drive is unable to read the media. Press "retry" to try again (reboot) or (retry)

How do I get around this? I am constantly connected to the internet via a wired connection, and did not have not had any luck getting past this. Someone please help.

Nevermind, I give up. I have tried installing linux tons of times and it has never once worked (almost worked the first time, got to the "wget" but the faq did not say anything about needing a wired connection).

I guess me and linux are just not meant to be. stupid penguin.
