Hi, im new here and i just recently decided to mod my ps2 fat V1-V3 (not sure how i can check which one i have, i only used this picture to confirm i have V1-V3 http://www.tolof.ovh.org/ps2version/version_1-3.jpg).
the options of mods i have here are either modbo 4, crystal 1.2 or matrix infinity.
which one would you choose? and why is matrix infinity so expensive? whats different about it?

also i would be very grateful if u answered my questions, i know its a lot but even if u can only answer a few it would be gr8:
1)modbo 4 has 512 KB memory, how much difference does that make from the crystal 1.2 128 KB memory? what does that contribute to?
2)all 3 of them protect the laser and also shut off after game load to protect it? does any of them have better laser protection then the rest? by how much difference?
3)in the mod description it says theres no need to use the cd that comes with 16 MB datel memory cards with this mod. what does that mean? and what about 64 MB memory cards?
4)do they all support games burned on multiple discs? and how does that work exactly? how do i burn those and how will it play?
5)suppose i have a new laser lens. under moderate use of about 4-5 consecutive hours a day, 3 days a week, playing only backed up games, how long will the laser lens have before burning out?
6)i use silver-line dvd-r, is that good for ps2 games? i cant find the cds that i read about here with the weird Chinese looking name but i can get verbatim, would that make much difference in my lens's life span?
7)if my ps2 can read burned DVD movies does it mean maybe it came with a mod already installed?
8)everything for thin ps2 including lens and mods is cheaper, although i understand from what i read in the forum that the thin's lens is crap. is there a big life span difference between that and the fat's lens?

ty very very much for your time, this forum is awesome btw :)

Matrix is so exspensive because it is much better then the other modchips. But, if you want a basic chip that's good, get the Duo3. Other then that, get either the Matrix, Crystal Chip 2.0, or DMS4.
