I installed this chip, i have all the lights working, but when i enable the switch board and turn the box on, the xbox will cutt off 2times and then the light will blink red and the TV screen is black, but if i disable the switch board the xbox loads like normal can anyone help me get this working thx.

You probably have your chip badly aligned, or you have a version 1.4/1.5 xbox. if it is the former, keep realigning it until it works, and if it is the latter, check out the tutorials at http://www.xbox-scene.com/ and solder your motherboard so that it works.

I got the chip working now its asking for bios to be flashed, so i download the m7 bios
and did these steps
Then burn with these settings.
No Multisession
ISO Level 2
Mode 1
ISO 9660
Finalize CD
but when it read the cd it said UNknown flash! halting! anyone have any idea what now?

I also have write protect on becouse i wasn't sure if they should be off and i didn't want to turn it off and mess up my xbox does that need to be on or off..

I had same problem as rulski with xbox switching on & off. Could you tell me how to resolve this problem please or is the mod chip broken? thanx

Hey i got mine working..
turn proptect off and it will work
i had everything right just had to turn protect off and now it works.

Once I get the chip to work & I am asked to insert the bios cd, which bios is best to use with the Cromwell bios? Can I only use Linux?
Sorry I'm a newbie & not really sure what to do

fish you might want to try the m7 bios its the newest i think, i have a switchboard king thats how i turned it off
