was liking to upgrade to this cFW. i am running 3.52 .did what the instructions told me to do
1.upload to psp/game/update
2.remame the eboot to 371.pbp
3.run the update and walla
well i keep getting corrupted data and i am running the 3.52 kernel while doing all this.i even tried not renaming the eboot .when i did that it said 3.71 update, well i ran that and it said unable to read 371 pbp file and then restarts, i tried game 150,game 352 and still nothing,to tell you the truth the only reason i want to update SO FAR anyway is the simplicity of installing themes as the ones isee for 3.52 are OKAY, but much kleener for 3.71
any suggestions
Theres an awesome how to thread in the mod and firmware forum. Answered all my questions and your question would probably be answered faster in the firmware section.
when i copy the eboot or should i say 371.PBP where do i put the prx file, like i said before it says corrupted data,i have followed the steps exactly like they say, i have put the prx file anywhere though.
i know that a prx is usually a plugin?right,.
i have a spare mem card so i will figit with it a bit..
my psp....
went into recovery and am running kernel 3.52
transfer only the eboot(371.PBP) to F:/psp/game/update
I KNOW THAT I AM RUNNING M33-4 FOR A FACT!!!!!!
QUESTION, why would it read as a update if i didnt rename it,why would it say it cant read and reboot?
i know this is a REALLY dumb Q;doi need to run OFFICIAL sony 3.71 before i use the CFW?
sorry for the lengthy reply

Cuz it's in the UPDATE folder? And maybe the file is corrupted (download the eboot from another source)
and no, you shouldn't need to run OFW before u use CFW. (well besides 1.5, but that's not relevant here)
lol sorry there, in all 5 of my 3.71m33 upgrades I don't recall there being a prx so I guess it isn't particularly important for the upgrade? Maybe my memory has gotten foggy though :P
Rename the 3.71 Offical EBOOT to 371.PBP and place it in the UPDATE folder.
You should have...
371.PBP
EBOOT.PBP
umodule.prx
in the UPDATE folder and place that in the /PSP/GAME folder.
If the files still says corrupt then try formating your PSP Memory stick via PC.
Connect the PSP to PC then right click on your PSP drive letter on the PC choose format then choose FAT32 as file format. Untick the QUICK box and click OK so it formates.
After it formats via PC go to PSP and format it again via System Settings.
Now drag the UPDATE folder into the /PSP/GAME folder and try running it again.
