3.52 m33-4 UMD Ripping

Hi folks, Could anyone tell me the best way to rip a UMD movie to my PC (I want to lift one of the wallpaper files for my sons PSP).

I am running firmware 3.52 M33-4 if this is any help.

Place the UMD movie in the BAY. Exit the movie if it auto plays so your at the XMB.

Now press HOME button and the VSH menu should come up.

Go down to USB Device then right on the D pad till you see UMD DISC then go down to EXIT to exit out of VSH menu.

Now connect the PSP to PC via USB and it will access the UMD bay so you can drag the ISO of the movie to your PC.

Now extract the ISO file to get the movie files (I use WinRAR to extract files from ISO files).

If you don't want to copy the full ISO over to PC you could always right click on the ISO file after enabling the USB to access the UMD Bay and choose to open it with WinRAR and then extract the files you want.

Make sure you change the USB DEVICE back to memory Stick when done.

WOW - that is so simple - many thanks for that - I'll have a go right now (I have winISO to let me look at an ISO file).

If I wanted to back this up to memory stick to save lugging a load of UMD's around, is there anything other than compressing to a CSO that I can do to shrink the file (I was wondering if I could strip out the update files etc)?
