Why do you want to remove the tuner?
In the majority of cases there is only a problem with the signal strength and the blokes killing fully working tuners.

it was working fine, i even took my box to my mates house and same thing time is wrong and no channels.. ive reflashed and its still the same. any ideas?

Connect the Box RF output to the aerial input of your tv, scan at the TV and check the quality of the analogue channels. The box must be running.

ok i connected up the dbox to the tv using the rf out and i got the free to air channels.. does that mean tuner is ok? so what do i have to do? reflash with another image? which one?

If you got a good picture via such a connection the input part of the box tuner is ok.
Try a scan via netid which is included in newer images.

i have got the latest blade trinity v3 image.. ill try with commando v8.2 and see if that finds any channels.. i usually scan using cable 6952 which is the right one for my area.. if i use netid what settings would i need?

Some newer images offer a blue button menue to select the area.

press blue
then blue again (blade settings menu)
then red (uk scanning setting)
red (set my location)
then whatever colour you need for your area
Net ids will auto fill in
After box has rebooted ..............Paul

Hi,
I was wondering is someone has the blade image for the dbox that they could post please.
I am having trouble with my commando image. On nearly all of the channels I am getting the EPG info but the screen is black. And when it did work it used to freeze every now and then.
