PSP GPS using 3.71 HELP!!!

I recently got a phat psp. I purchased the 290 gps receiver. Before I upgraded the firmware to 3.71 there was support for doing GPS with other version firmware. Is there any for 3.71? What download do I need for mapthis or what does one recomend in place of mapthis?? I am USA based. Do I need to install anything before mapthis? Do I need to configure my psp in any way??? There is just way to many different ways to do this GPS or at least thats what people are making it seem. First timer as far as PSP goes. I am going to use this PSP(out of 2 I have) for Navigation and movies in the car. Man I have had this GPS receiver for a month 1/2 now and can't even find anyone who knows computers and PSP to help...they never knew psp had a gps capabilities, Gamdestop employees, etc.... NO one knows so I'm stuck....HELLLLLLP Thanks in advance to any and all that can help.
