i use dvd shrink some what often. but it all started after i re formated my hdd. the only way i can get shrink to work is to use ripit4me. but if i have movies on my hdd to burn and try to use shrink the program will frezze my computer. i have uninstalled and reinstalled but it does the same thing. so if you could help me that would be great.

what format are the files in?

and what movies are they?

has the copy protection been removed from them? what software?

if there an ISO file programs like dvd decrypter or IMG Burn is all you need

i used dvd decrypter to rip the movies but i didn't use dvd43 to get rid of the protection on the dvds. but most of them were older movies that decrypter should of been able to handle it. i've been told it could be a cash memory problem or a virus that hit my memory and is sapping it when i need it. anyone who can help me answer my problem will be my new best friend. :)

i doubt thats the problem. whats your PC specs?

try running Trend Micro house calls at there website and see if you come up with anything and a good spyware program

if the movies have been ripped already you can burn with dvd decrypter ,nero or IMG Burn.

or maybe the files are corrupt and you need to re-rip them.

try using clonedvd 2 + anydvd and see what happens

if you have dvd43 on you're machine now that could be the problem. i would get rid of it and clean your machine its know to conflit with alot of software.then do another clean reinstall of dvd shrink etc.

use either dvd fab decrypter (freeware) or anydvd as a ripper NOT dvd43(its junk)

thats about all i can remember right now. i cant do much of anything right because i'm not at home. but the more info i have to fix my computer the better.

hey i think my problem is bigger then i thought because now i can barely keep my computer from freezing when i'm just running mozilla firefox. so i really think i'm going to have to reformat again. but if you have ideas that could help fix the problem plz send them my way.

it has gotten so bad that i cant download any programs or open any programs or it will freeze and some times on startup it freezes. so i must have something that ad-aware se cant get ridd of or find so its time to reformat.
