For speed and good quality ConvertX imho wins. Nero on the other hand has more editing and menu options - a little slower than ConvertX but good quality too.
Those 2, to me at least, are the best one out there.
I like ConvertXtoDVD for it's simplicity, but I use CCE (Cinema Craft Encoder), paired with BeSweet (for audio) and DVDlab Pro 2.3 (for compiling DVD). If ease of use is what you are looking for stick to ConvertXtoDVD, but if you're looking for HIGH quality output, I have found nothing better than CCE. I think it puts every encoder to shame.

"To shame"... hardly. ProCoder and HCenc can and do provide better results depending on the source.
