I don't have motherboard sata and I beleive my chipset is not compatible. Has anyone dumped their firmware for their benq?.
I was going to purchase a via sata pci card. But someone in another forum said they don't work well with BENQ's. What would be the best connectivity option for me?

So far... There is no dumped firmware for the BENQ! I also have a BENQ, and I'm just waiting for the Firmware to come out!

yes BENQ firmware has been dumped already. Long time ago. There is a tutorial on this.

But do you have to swap out drives, or is it a iXtreme Firmware for the Benq drives?

No it's not ixtreme yet. It's just to dump the flash so you can get the drive key to swap drives.

No ixtreme out yet. But I read it will most likely be released at the end of this month.

That would be cool! I know that M$ Ban's people for playing Burned Games, but will the ban you if you just play the original on a system with a Hacked Firmware? I used to have a Hitachi Drive, and I'm just getting back into the Xbox 360 Modding Scene!

they ban on the bases of reading back-ups that are not stealth patched they cant read what firmware is on your xbox yet..
i was running 5.3 untill ixtreme had came out and i didn't get banned because all of my games are stealth patched correctly...
but yea you can read the original.bin off of the benq and swap with a hitachi or samsung..
