Im trying to downgrade my psp fw version 3.5. I have gained so far that you need to use the pandora battery method. Just two questions. Do you need another psp with custom fw. and do i need more then 1 battery? Cause im getting mixed responses. Thanks.

no. if your firmware is 3.50, then you don't need to use pandora's battery. you will need to find a copy of lumines: puzzle fusion and download the 3.50 downgrader.
if you have 3.51 or higher, then you will need pandora's battery, no matter what.
people recommend pandora's battery because it's a fail safe. meaning that it will always work. the game exploits can result into a brick if it goes wrong. but follow the directions, and a brick is a very small chance.
ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure
got a whole lot more to list . . .

the best way to make pandora's battery is to use a custom firmware psp. borrow a friends or cousins. your psp is incapable to make it because it cannot run unsigned code.
the harder (and maybe more expensive) route is to physically modify your battery. also, you will need a different way to get your memory card onto the computer; memory card reader, digicam.

go HERE for the battery mod. for the magic memory stick, use the easy installer, found in the top of the thread list. it's in bold, can't miss it.
if you're skilled enough with a soldering iron, then you can get away with one battery. but if the leg can't be soldered back on, then you need to get another battery for your main use. hence, possibly expensive route

hey ok thanks for the tutorial. Anyways I kind of left my psp at home and I'm guessing I have to do the hard mod on the battery to make a pandoras. then just put all of those files on the memory stick and run it right? Im just checking cause you can never be to careful. Also just one more thing. For me to do the hard mod on the battery then I just put the files on the stick. then put the stick then battery in I can then hit the X to start the downgrade right. Thanks you guys are really helpful
