Error message when booting games.

A friend of mine has an xbox 360 that he bought from another friend of his. It's not modded, but it had to have the laser eye replaced. Now when he tries to boot the game it gives him an error message saying something needs "flashed". This is not a modded xbox, the person that fixed the xbox got the replacement parts directly from Microsoft. Does anyone know what he needs to do to get the system to boot games? Sorry, I tried to get the exact error message, but he didn't have a game there at the time to test and get the message.

He said it boots up fine, menu screen is fine, but when it goes to load a game that's when the message comes up. Any ideas?

You are going to have to get him to give you the actual message it gives and post it. "something needs to be flashed" is just not enough information.
