Playstation3 DVI to HDMI No Sound!!! PLS HELP!

hi

I really need everyones help on this one

I have a HDTV however it the older version so it has the DVI

connection and NO HDMI connection!

Right now I'm using a (Monster) DVI to HDMI Adapter.

Picture is Great! The Only thing is it has no damn SOUND!!!

If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it^^

Dvi doesnt carry sound, you need to connect audio cables from the ps3 to the tv's Audio in. The audio plug should be right near the tvs DVi out put. HDMI can carry sound provided it is comming from an HDMI source inwhich the DVI Port does not Output sound. HDMI Does...

hi

I appreciate the reply, but with I tried that already the only thing with PS3 it ask you to manuel configure your sound option and it not working. The HDTV I have has the av1 and av2 sound however it does not have a direct port for me to connect the audios...

Please help!

If you've still got some composite cables you can plug the red and white into an external amp or stereo and output sound through that.
