GC games dont work help

i have a wiikey NTSC-J wii console 3.0J
i have updated to 1.9b and have set the region overide on and GC region free on.
I have Starfox Assault ntsc-u on a TDK DVD-R i used Imgbrn and Nero on 4x speed.
I keep getting a black screen when i go to play it and i have used the boot sytem with the setup disk 1.3 i used the GCOS i think thats what it is called and i used every setting for the tv when i use it.
Can someone tell me what is wrong or is there a way to get this to work please thanks.

try changing your drive speed to 3x and use regionfrii

i am really sorry for posting twice i am desperate.
i tried what you said and it still stays on a black screen do you know of any other ways? also when you put the setup disk in do you have to change the settings everytime?

I beg i need to get this game to work.

when you go into your config disc, it has options but it doesnt show your current settings thats why it always has 6x speed as deafult when you go into it, if you gc region ovveride is on and you even tried using regionfrii to change it to your region and you burned it fine i dont know what else to tell you

i got the regionfrii program and when i put the iso it says it is unknown do i still change it to ntsc jap region anyway?
