I'm using DVD shrink and have never encountered this error until a few days ago. Now I can't burn anything without getting this. Thanks in advance!

Shrink is using Nero to burn with, hence the Nero log you posted.....

A #1020 error is listed in the "nero.txt" file as a "Cannot recover from calibration area" error.

I have some thoughts about that but before we go any further I'd like you to remove and reinstall Nero 7 completely. Use the Nero 7 Clean Tool to do a through job. Follow the directions. Record your Nero serial number so you don't loose it.

Reason to remove and reinstall:
I'm a bit concerned about the length of the log and the lack of a normal text error message so I want to be sure the install is non corrupted before proceeding.

Otherwise you may handle this problem as a power calibration issue. This is usually a problem with the blank media (use better see this guide) or in some cases the DVD burner you are using.(It's failing or at least needs a firmware update).

Another option you may try is to do a Windows system restore back to when Nero was working.

Edit: Added some links :)
