i want to non physically destroy an xbox360.i want to make the xbox look fine but not work sort of like bricking a psp. any ideas.

put ur 360 in a box and keep it pluged in and turned on for a few days it should over heat i suppose

easy, supply it with the wrong voltage.
try 117 volt ac directly into the back of the unit,that will be enough to burn it up without showing any physical damage.
in fact it will probably look like a bad power surge.

Don't do the power surge thing. Just do what dude said. overheat it. Put it in a box and power it on and play a game for a few hours to get that proc hot...I'm not sure why you are doing it..but it sounds fun. Let us know how you did it!

Sounds like he has a deal with Best Buy or something where he can get a new 360 if his dies. So he wants a new one. He needs it dead to get a new one but he can't make it seem like he did it, that's why it can't be physical.

I would look at an error code page and see what errors their are for a 360 and work backwards, and try to cause that error.

Or with 360's the way they are, just use it for a while, and wait till a game you really like comes out, then it will decided to RROD itself.

do the box thing or jus throw some scotch tape over the vents and turn it on before the first couple NFL games tomorrow or whatever will have u in the same room as the 360 so u can keep ur eye on it ...
