Error with Windows DVD, decoding software?

Trying to make a DVD with some MP4 (MPEG-4) files on it. They uploaded to the DVD fine, showed up on the DVD menu and stuff. So when I went to start the burning I get to 1.9% and then this error message comes up:

"Cannot create the DVD

One or more of the files that were added in DVD Maker could not be decoded correctly. Verify that you have decoding software installed on your computer that can decode the different files, and then try again."

Ok, so after getting that I downloaded FFDSHOW, which in its description was a MPEG-4 decoder.

I tried again and when I opened my project it wouldn't even load up the MP4 files, just said there was something wrong with them. So I uninstalled FFDSHOW and started up the DVD maker again. The file uploaded fine, with the MP4 files and such, so while the DVD maker was open with my project I reinstalled FFDSHOW and started the burning again.

While it was doing its stuff in my toolbar I saw as many as 7 FFDSHOW Video decoder icons come up. But again at 1.9% I got the message.

Whats going on? Anyone know how I can fix this? Thanks
