I am so confused with using USB HD on slim ps2!!

I did a little bit of reading from the searches, but I am still confused!

What I have are:
1. 80GB of USB HD
2. USB extreme cracked
3. ps2 slim 77001
4. Guides on how to make a bootable ELF (havent read it yet)

Now, I read it somewhere that with USB extreme I dont need swap magic and with usb advance you do, but I also heard USB extreme cracked=USB advance, so... do I need swap magic or not? (I have neither swap magic or modchip)

And, do i need the MC exploit to run? just the ELF thingy will do? And I think I also read it somewhere that the MC exploit will not work on new ps2 slim... so... do I need MC exploit for usb extreme cracked to work or I have everything that I need for me to play games on my usb hd??

And why the hell is usb extreme cracked only 600 kb when you purchase the genuine version with 2 cd???




plz help meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
I dont wanna take the sky train and bus for 2 hours and 70 CAD to get a modchip when I already have 2 usb hd..

plz help me...

all I wanna do is play xenosaga 1-3, shadowhearts 1-2, galaxy rouge and genji that I have downloaded ( all are dvd-5 so should work with usb hd from what I read)... They have be sitting in my usb hd for god knows how long............

Sorry the only way for you to boot the elf file is by having swap magic or the UsbExtreme disk, which you say comes with 2 cd. Mine only came with one CD.
