PS2 Slim SWAP TRICK

Hi all, Im what you would call a newbie.
I've been looking on You Tube at the Swap Trick for slim ps2 using guitar hero. I've modded my ps2 so that the cover is open when the disc is spinning.

My problem is that i cant get this swaptrick to work. I have a ps2 slim v14 the laser doesn't seem to move exactly like it does on the video. does anyone have any help?

Are you trying to swap the original guitar hero 2 disk for a copy of the game, thats all the guy in the vid is doing, his not swapping it for a different game, that wont work.

Besides that, what the guy in the vid is doing, is a bit out line, firstly, it is dangerous, of course not very dangerous, but to an extent, and secondly, everytime he puts swaps it with a backup disk, he is wearing out the spindle.
