I've been using the "search" for a while now and am hoping I am correct.. If I am wrong please stop me and point me in the write direction...

1. I was thinking of going the blaster 360 route. So here is my list of "required" items to make and play backup copies of purchased games..
- blaster 360 (if i go that direction, do i need a pci SATA card or does the blaster just connect to my PC via usb 2.0?
- Update the firmware. Does the right version depend on what DVD drive is installed in my 360?
- Pioneer 112D dual layered burner
- Clone CD or other appropriate software..

I believe this is my shopping list correct??

Wasnt sure what type of software I use to save the game data from the xbox 360 drive to my computers hard drive via the blaster 360???

WOW this now makes me look even more stupid.. I understand the blaster 360 is only for flashing your firmware.. The part im missing here (at least I think I am) is what piece of hardware (and software) do i use to save the game data from the game disc to my computers hard-drive??

Lol, you have got it now. Blaster for flashing, SH-D for rippng, use whatever dual layer burner you like, Verb dvd-9 disks doe media, and finally, use imgburn or clonecd.
