Thinking of getting a chip over swap magic, is the chip far better and less problems?

Whilst a chip is more expensive, it is a far better option and not only removes the need for the annoying disc swapping procedure, but having the console modded will allow you to play imported games, backup copies as well as homebrew applications and games such as guitarfun...Swap magic is a waste of time and money.
