Initially I had trouble booting the config disk. I used a GCOS disk to fix that problem. Now I can boot Gamecube backups fine but can't boot a Wii backup to save my life. Wii games appear to start fine, then I get disk errors.

I've tried burning at different speeds (2X 3X 4X max). I've used different burners (LG, Macbook superdrive). Changed config disk 6X to 3X. Could there be a problem with my Wiikey installation, even with gamecube backups running fine?

Or, could it be that my Wii isos (obtained in the usual places) are crap?? Should I be doing my own backups? Using the forum backup guide?

What region are the games? Is it the same region as your Wii?

What media are you using?

Don't mess with the drive speed. Make sure to turn the Region Override option on. Burn at 4X speed with ImgBurn.

If GC games work fine, then I don't think there is a problem with the installation.

USA/ntsc is the region for Isos and my system. Memorex DVD-R 16X media. I'll check my region override. Thanks.

I would get rid of the Memorex. The games will not last long.

Get some Verbatim DVD+/-R 8X.

Ok, got everything working. Turned region override on. Still not working. Then tried my Memorex DVD+R DL. These work perfectly. Doesn't make much sense to me but I happen to have a 50 spindle of these just hanging around.

Thanks for the region override tip Ndarkness. That setting is a must.
