Hello,
I am trying to reauthor this dvd but would like to get rid of the opening credits. The main problem i that there is some of the movie segment before the opening credits. How would I go about getting rid of the credits without getting rid of the opening sequence.
Thanks
By the way this is a Jame bond movie if that sheads some light into why I want the opening sequence.

Let me guess, I am going to have to convert the dvd to an mpeg then split it up with VirtualDub then reencode it!
Don't suppose anyone knows of any other dvdshrink like program which can do what I need it to do

wait a second, now that i think about it, you can do it with DVD Shrink. Reauthor and use the start end thing and rip the first part you want. Then just set the beginning after the credits and rip the rest of the movie. Then use IFOEdit to create new ifo files.

I have a question about the newer beta version. What does the deep anaylize button actually do and is it necessary to run this before you back up the files. I've used it and everything worked fine but it does take a long time. Can someone fill me in on this.
Thanks

Ark74, as a rule-of-thumb, Deep Analysis will give better quality backups when the compression required > 15-20% ("Ratio" < 85-80%).
It will also give you a better estimate of the target size, thus avoiding any over/undersizing issue (when one or more titles are not set to "Automatic"). ;)
For a technical description of what Deep Analysis does and how it does it, please read dvdshrink's (the developer) post in the following thread:
