First of all, thanks for all your helps.

I have a fat PSP for a long while but i have never tried to downgrade or did anything kinky to it since i was afraid of bricking. I left my psp at 2.8 and left it for good, or collecting dusts so to speak.

However, the spirit of my psp talked to me last night and was pleading me to use him to his full potential, hence, here i am.

My ex-co-worker was a psp geek and i remembered him showing off his 1.5 downgrade, however, he was caught during office hour and currently reside somewhere horrifying (some molded basement?) i can not imagine nor reach, so, here i am, asking for help.

please instruct me step by step how to fully upgrade / downgrade so i can enjoy some homebrews at my spare time!

ps: Yes i have read the stickies but, oh my, wtf is going on!

You first need to see if you have a TA-82 or higher motherboard.

To do this open the UMD Bay and turn the PSP around and look inside the top right corner of the bay and see if there is text there. If there is text you have a TA-82 or higher motherboard. if there is none then you have an older board.

If you have a TA-82 or higher motherboard go HERE and look under the section of -2.80 PSP (TA-82 or TA-86).

If you have an older board (With no text) go HERE and look under the section of -2.80 PSP
