Help---PS2 DVD Disc ID Utility Question

Have a quick question. I just got the dvd version of the disk id utility for the ps2. After I boot to get the screen that shows the id's how do I get the disk to stop spinning so that I can put in my original game to get the numbers? I can't imagin that you have to just grab and swap the disks..
