Playback starts in the middle of movie...

I'm using Shrink and Nero. Everything runs fine and completes correctly, but the beginning of the movies are left out, and playback starts in the middle of the movie. The first part of the movie isn't even on the disc. Is there a screwy setting that is causing the problem or is it a hardware problem?

i have not seen or heard of it . but what movies are they?
have you played the file to see if its all there before burning?

One of the movies is "Death Proof", but they're all having this problem. And the entire movie is shown in the DVDShrink preview process. I don't know why, but the movie starts playing usually about 3-10 minutes in. So, I'm assuming something is wrong with my drive?

are you ripping to hd first?
i like to use dvdfab then shrink then nero to burn.
have you reload shrink or nero. whats the vs of nero
do you have a burn log?
