DVDFab HD Decrypter is solely for bypassing copy protection. Shrink and DVD2One are commonly used for transcoding (shrinking files) from DVD9 to DVD5. You might make a choice between DVD2One or Shrink, but they're not so large it should make a difference keeping both, especially since both have some different functions.

Speed is relative to the system resources and settings as born2ride mentioned. We don't know what you're using, but 2 1/2 hrs does seem a bit long. If your drives have slipped out of DMA, try resetting it and see if the system is quicker. If not post your system model and resources so we know what we're dealing with. PIO, DMA doesn't apply to SATA drives.

Glad to see you got it under control. Sounds like you've been lucky encountering only one release Shrink couldn't do. There's a lot of releases that have come out since Shrink lost support that the program can't decrypt properly. A lot of those with ARccOS protection from Sony. Sony, Lionsgate, and Disney are among the prominent studios using that type protection.

90 minutes isn't too bad, unless you're using a machine that should be faster. Like we mentioned, time depends on content and PC resources along with software being used. Someone already mentioned the Quality Settings in Shrink. I often use RB/CCE which is more time consuming.
