DVDShrik - what does deep video analysis do?

Hello,

maybe someone out there can tell me what deep video analysis does. DVDShrink says that it will improve video quality, does it and by how much?

When I compress a movie to 95% of the original will deep video analysis make a difference?

When does one want to use this feature.

deep analysis will improve the video some. Now if you are only compressing 5%, then deep analysis will not make a difference. Others have played around with the settings and seem to start doing analysis at 20-30% compression. This will vary depending upon your playback conditions-- size of screen, type of standalone,etc. Y

You might notice differences at more or less compression or you might not notice at all. The other question is depending on the situation, is it worth the extra 40 minutes to DO the analysis.
