Well I've decided to finally get the swap magic discs but I was wondering if someone can help me out before I buy it.

First, I heard that Swap Magic 3.6 is better than the all new Swap Magic Coder 3.8 due to compatibility issues....is this true? If so I will definitly be getting Swap Magic 3.6


Second, what should I know about in burning the DVD's? Should DVD-R's be okay or DVD+R's? And is Alcohol 120% okay to use for both burning and creating images?

I plan on getting a gamefly account to rip the images and then burn them with my DVD burner. Just don't want to run into any troubles.

use swap 3.6 it`s better then 3.8(don`t try`d it but i read a lot that 3.6 is better)
rip and burn the games with dvd decrypter
i do so and all work`s well

both dvd- and dvd+ works, but buy good brands like verbatim or sony, or your game will load really slow. ^.^

Yeah i read about dvd decrypter being the best, I'll just use that with some DVD-R's I have laying around. I plan to use some lightscribe ones I hope this doesn't affect my games any having an image burned on the other side :S

Also, which is the best speed to burn on? I would have though at least x2 to be safe but not too sure.

I actually use 3.8 coder and have had no issues with any backups yet. I have over a hundred I am sure. But 3.5 is fine also.
I always burn at 4x with 16x DVD and again have no issues yet, but perhaps thats just me.
