Connecting PSP to Ad Hoc Vista Network

I just recently got a psp and have been trying to connect to the internet with it. My computer is connected to a wired internet connection but also has a wireless card. When I try to setup the wireless card as an ad hoc network everything seems fine from the computer. But when I try to find the network using the psp, it cant be found. It still cant find the network even if I enter in the ssid and wep manually. Does anyone know what might be wrong and how to get my psp connected to the internet without a wireless router?

You need a router to access internet on PSP
