what is the best setting used for wiikey? i heard that setting the wiikey to set the drive to 6x would lessen the lifetime of drive? anyway, what is the default setting of the drive without modification?

Unlimited x the reason i said that because i burn the disc with 16x and it read very good no problem at all .
Now, the config. disc for wiikey setup is set to 6x that what many people used it , i did it too. hope it help your question ?

i would not mess with the drive speed setting, leave it at 6x

culius he wasnt asking what speed you burn images at... 16x is not always the best speed as most pcs will struggle to keep at that speed, mine is best suited at 4x or 6x with imgburn. You might even see that yours just drops the speed to suit as just because you choose 16x doesnt mean it will do it.
