KHS-400C laser with slim v12 ps2

Hi. I need to know if a KHS-400C laser will work with a slim version 12 ps2? I ordered a new one to put in my fat ps2, but now it turns out my fat ps2 has more problems than I originally thought. I do have a v12 with the infamous read disk error, so I would like to put that new KHS-400C into it. Please reply if you know if this will work or not before I start tearing into my v12.

no. you need to get the right laser for the v12. the khs-400c will only work in the fat ps2
